MTF Biologics to Showcase Line of Cosmetic Innovations at SCALE 2019

Nonprofit tissue bank will highlight Renuva® Allograft Adipose Matrix and other innovations that improve cosmetic procedures at the premier multidisciplinary meeting for aesthetic medicine and dermatology

Edison, N.J. (May 9, 2019) – MTF Biologics, a leading nonprofit tissue bank dedicated to healing and saving lives, will feature its extensive cosmetic surgery portfolio at this year’s Symposium for Cosmetic Advances & Laser Education (SCALE) 2019, May 9-11, 2019, at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Highlighted among the innovations will be Renuva Allograft Adipose Matrix, which MTF Biologics created to easily treat small volume soft tissue defects in the face, breast and body. An alternative to fat grafting, Renuva is made from donated human adipose, or fat. Produced from the highest quality tissue, Renuva gives patients the same benefits as fat grafting without the need for liposuction.

Dr. Michael Gold, Nashville dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, will present on Renuva at the main podium at SCALE at 2:15 CT on Friday, May 10.

MTF Biologics also will feature Renuva in an e-poster presentation “Injectable Allograft Adipose Matrix: a Natural Off-the-Shelf Alternative for Soft Tissue Filling.” by Evangelia Chnari, PhD.

In addition to Renuva, MTF Biologics will showcase the following innovations:

  • Profile®: A pre-cut, costal cartilage allograft, Profile is used in rhinoplasty procedures. It allows surgeons to avoid having to perform additional surgery to obtain cartilage from a patient's ear or rib, leading to less post-operative pain and scarring. Because Profile is made from human tissue, it is natural to the patient's own body, which means less chance of infection or extrusion than synthetic implants.

  • LipoGrafter®: LipoGrafter is a practical, fat-grafting solution designed for better graft survival. The easy-to-use technology offers surgeons a safe and efficient way to harvest a patient's fat and deposit it in areas where the patient may require or seek additional volume.

  • Meso BioMatrix® Surgical Mesh: Meso BioMatrix Surgical Mesh is a strong, thin, xenograft tissue form for cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery that offers surgeons a new option for patients requiring soft tissue repair and/or reinforcement such as suture line reinforcement and muscle flap reinforcement.
