MTF Biologics 2018 Grant Program Now Accepting Research Proposals

Edison, NJ (November 13, 2017) – MTF Biologics has announced that applications are now being accepted for the MTF Biologics 2018 Grant Program.  This Grant Program reflects MTF Biologics’ interests and objectives in expanding the scientific knowledge related to allografts, tissue transplantation and biologic reconstruction.

New for 2018, MTF Biologics has created a focused Clinical Science Grant for investigating clinical outcomes and/or health economics to support allograft use in clinical practice. As in prior years, MTF Biologics will continue to offer the traditional Extramural Research Grants to support translational and basic science research and assist in moving innovative technologies from the lab bench into the clinic.  For both Grants, applicants can apply either as a Junior Investigator or an Established Investigator.

MTF Biologics is also offering the W.F. Enneking Career Development Grant to foster development of outstanding orthopaedic clinicians while enabling them to expand their potential to make significant research contributions to the field of orthopaedics. This Grant is open to applicants from MTF Biologics Academic Member institutions.

“We are dedicated to innovation in allograft science to improve clinical outcomes and support healthcare providers and biomedical researchers,” said Marc Long, PhD, Vice President of R&D at MTF Biologics. “We are excited this year to offer the MTF Clinical Science Grant to support studies that have the potential to affect clinical decision-making as it relates to allografts.”

“Commitment to research is integral to MTF Biologics’ mission of serving allograft donors, recipients, and their families,” said Jeffrey Cartmell, PhD, Associate Director of Intellectual Property & Grants at MTF Biologics. “We are proud of our long-term commitment to fund promising research that advances the science of tissue transplantation while providing vital support to the next generation of scientists.”

Applications for the MTF Biologics 2018 Grant Program close on Feb. 1, 2018.
